My train has been cancelled or delayed. Can I be refunded?

Modified on Mon, 26 Feb at 5:17 PM

In the event of a rail strike, your rail tickets can be refunded.

If you have a rail e-ticket, please contact us via phone on 01274726424 or email to  north.rail@travelctm.com with your booking reference to cancel your ticket.

If you have a physical rail ticket(s) that has not yet been collected, please leave it as uncollected so we can request a refund automatically for you. You do not need to contact us to do this.

If you have a physical rail ticket(s) that has already been collected, please post these to the below address so we can request a refund for you.

In the event of a train cancellation, please contact us via phone on 01274726424 or email to north.rail@travelctm.com with your booking reference for a refund.

In the event of a train delay, we ask that you contact the rail provider via their website, you can find a complete list of rail providers websites here. Please ensure to select the ‘delay repay’ option.

After doing this, you will receive a rail voucher, which we ask that you send to us along with the original booking details. Once we have received this voucher, we will be able to apply to the train operator for a credit note back to your original cost centre. If however, you select the ‘cancel’ option by mistake, this is when the rail provider will tell you to get in touch with us (contact third party provider).

For any return journeys that have been booked, we can offer refunds on cancelled trains, however we are unable to offer refunds on delayed trains. For delayed trains please seek ‘delay repay’ directly from the train operator.
